Reading Motivation and EFL Learners’ Vocabulary Development Against Interest in Learning English Moderated by Teacher Competence

Reading is critical for students of English as a foreign language. Apart from the four abilities that needed desire to grow, reading one most skills in language acquisition. Therefore, this study aims investigate motivation and EFL learners’ vocabulary development against interest learning moderated by teacher competence. The research participants were university (ages 18) many 53 Riau Province, Indonesia. This was using quantitative methods. data collected questionnaire analyzed SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) technique which operated through Warp PLS 3.2.7 program. Finding revealed there significant effect on student with competence moderating variable. should provide an interesting text students, especially so read not because they are forced their surroundings, but have internal motive complete work.
